**TITLE:** Janitorial Substitute

**REPORTS TO:** Maintenance Supervisor

**SUPERVISES:** N/A

**TERM:** As needed

**JOB GOAL:** To perform all tasks assigned by the Team Leader, Foreman, or other JMCSS Administration for the Maintenance Department to prevent damage, maintain, or enhance the physical plant and or facilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:**

* High School Diploma or GED

* License in a skilled trade preferred

* Valid Drivers License

* Experience in construction, facility maintenance, and or landscaping

* Meet the health and physical requirements

* FBI/TBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance every five (5) years

* Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent might find appropriate and acceptable

**EVALUATION:** Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.

**PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:** During times when school is not in session, **t**his position may be assigned to general maintenance as a helper for other trades which needs assistance, including the warehouse area. Primary responsibilities are as follows:

- Cleaning assigned buildings or locations

- Daily cleaning all sections of the building

- Moping, vacuuming, window cleaning, dusting, etc.

- Pick up and removal of trash in and outside of the facility

- Moving items within the building for staff as requested

- Debris removal
