**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience along with Cerner proficiency

**License:** Registered Nurse

**Certifications:** BLS, Secure or other nationally recognized

**Must-Have:** Experience in lab draw, sample collection, EKG, medication reconciliation and administration, process and throughput, acute de-escalation

**Job Description:**

- Work in a 74-bed Emergency Department focused on psych and substance abuse cases
- Provide care for adolescent, geriatric, and adult patients
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-6
- Collaborate with support staff such as CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomists, and IV/VAT teams
- Use Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors
- Participate in a weekend rotation every other weekend or 4 weekend days per month if on a block schedule
- Comply with holiday expectations including one major and one minor seasonal holiday
- Attend orientation with 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit if new or a returning traveler who has been away for over a year
- Flexibility with scrub color

This position involves handling acute psychiatric emergencies and requires strong de-escalation skills and capability in handling various medical procedures essential to the Emergency Department.
