**Coordinates:**

* Coordinates the activities of CSP’s Information Systems
* Performs various other duties as designated by the Manager (i.e. relief supervisory duties, etc.)

**Communication/Resource:**

* Serves as a primary resource in the event of system related issues (i.e. downtime, delay, problems/issues, etc.)
* Performs ongoing evaluation and revision of flow of information (when required)

**Reporting:**

* Develops departmental and statistical reports as requested

**Education:**               

* Orients and educates CSP, Operating Room (OR), Surgery Center, and Women’s Hospital Center (WHC) staff in using CSP software applications
* **Provides training material and reference guides as needed**
* **Stays abreast of changes in technology**

**Liaison**:

* Serves as liaison between CSP and software vendors, consultants, Management Information Systems (MIS) and Purchasing

**Performance Improvement**:

* Solicits and explores ideas/suggestions for system improvements

**Regulation**:

* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
* Complies with applicable  Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guidelines

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma; required/Associates Degree in Computer Technology; preferred
* Graduate of Operating Room Technician Program; preferred
* Certified by IAHCSMM as a Registered Central Service Technician within 1 year of accepting position; required
* Minimum of 3 years experience in CSP; required
* Excellent customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills;  required
* Working knowledge of  computers, computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Data Entry; required
* Knowledge of a computerized instrument/recipe system; preferred
* Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in CSP; preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills; required
