Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Nights, 19:00-07:30
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Step Down inpatient experience
License: Current RN License eligible for Missouri
Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only

Must-Have:
- 1 year of Step Down experience in an inpatient setting
- Experience with Trach/Vent as this is a respiratory-heavy unit

Job Description:
- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring professional accountability.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform direct patient care activities across all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments for optimal care and comfort.
- Function according to the nursing practice guidelines and regulations.
- Adjust to meet unit-specific physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients as needed.
- High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Work differing schedules or shifts as required by patient care needs.
- Engage with patients experiencing respiratory failure, overdose, GI bleed, and other medical conditions.
- Exhibit traits like teamwork, dependability, and flexibility.
- Adhere to the dress code: black scrubs.

Please note, this position is auto-offer and all contingency requests must be submitted with the necessary forms. Weekend work is required as per facility needs. There are no call requirements for this position.
