The Chicago Tribune, a subsidiary of Tribune publishing, is seeking a Driver to join our team
for distribution
What you will do:
- Responsible for efficient and accurate delivery of the newspaper and supplements in the market
- Drive a tractor trailer truck (Requiring a class A CDL)
- Makes delivery of freight and magazines when needed
- Break down and sort freight, film and magazines for shipping to customer distribution centers
- Responsible for efficient and accurate delivery of the newspaper and supplements in the market
- Break down and sort magazines, film and supplies as needed to ship to various statewide customer distribution centers
- Check newspaper, supplements and magazine bundles for accurate count on truck loads
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Practices defensive driving skills and maintains a safe-driving record
- Ability to work with a variety of people
- A valid commercial class A drivers license to drive a tractor trailer
- Demonstrated sensitivity to customer satisfaction
- Possess basic math aptitude, communication and organization skills
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- High school diploma or equivalent
