VP, Strategic Partnership & Business Development - Permanent - Remote, US Are you ready to shape the future of genomics and synthetic biology by leading strategic partnerships that drive innovation and global growth? Proclinical is seeking a dedicated VP of Strategic Partnership and Business Development to drive innovation and growth in the genomics and synthetic biology sectors. Primary Responsibilities In this role, you will focus on forming strategic alliances, expanding market reach, and supporting corporate development initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge advancements in biotechnology and life sciences. Skills & Requirements Expertise in business development or strategic partnerships within genomics, synthetic biology, or related life science tools sectors. Proven ability to lead complex partnership and licensing negotiations. Strong understanding of research and bioproduction workflows, including gene synthesis, sequencing, or cell engineering applications. Ability to translate scientific and technological trends into actionable business strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills. Strategic, analytical, and execution‑driven mindset with a collaborative approach. Passion for advancing tools that enable next‑generation biotechnology innovation. The Vice President's responsibilities will be: Identify, structure, and manage strategic partnerships with biotech, pharma, and technology companies to enhance platform adoption and market presence. Develop collaborations with ecosystem players, including automation providers, reagent suppliers, and synthetic biology platforms. Build academic and industrial alliances to position the company as a leader in genomic and synthetic biology innovation. Negotiate and oversee joint development, OEM licensing, and distribution agreements. Drive commercial and strategic initiatives to open new markets or applications for genomics and synthetic biology platforms. Collaborate with R&D and product management to evaluate external technology access, co‑development opportunities, or strategic customer collaborations. Lead cross‑functional growth initiatives aligned with emerging market needs in areas such as cell engineering, biomanufacturing, and precision medicine. Support the assessment of acquisition or investment opportunities in complementary technologies or capabilities. Partner with the executive team on long‑term strategy, growth initiatives, and portfolio evolution. Monitor industry and competitive trends to inform strategic positioning and decision‑making. Compensation $250,000 to $265,000 per annum.
