ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Performance Improvement

Coordinates the development and implementation of quality projects/programs/initiatives in the office setting.

Understands safety and quality program framework and communicates that throughout the organization.

Provides expertise in assessing, evaluating and monitoring improvement strategies at clinic level.

Develops and refines, in collaboration with clinical and medical leadership, action plan for quality improvement.

Assists Quality Administrator in evidence based research dissemination.

Monitors quality action plans to achieve targeted outcomes.

Responsible for leading performance improvement at physician practices.

Collaborates with committees and management to support timelines and achieve target outcomes in a timely and effective manner.

Establishes broad focused outcomes with attention to patient care, patient and family collaborative care initiatives, population health/disease management activities, and staff satisfaction.

Leads clinic level incorporation of evidence based practice to support population health strategies.

Contributes to clinic education advancement.

Communicates effectively with staff and physicians to achieve quality outcomes.

Functions as effective change agent to achieve desired quality outcomes and to ensure progress of quality initiatives.

Develops productive relationships with office staff, physicians, clinical staff, and operations managers throughout ECU Health.

Networks with a variety of disciplines and service areas to improve communications, enhance understanding and to strengthen relationships.

Shares information among quality partners to expand best practices and promote change.

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required
* 3 years or more of experience in clinical leadership, quality outcome monitoring, or disease management/population health is required
