We can't do it without YOU

Do you want to apply your experience, skills and education in a way that makes a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of our patients and their families? At Tennessee Cancer Specialists, it is the privilege of our employees to walk with our patients and their families as they move along the journey of fighting cancer. Whether you are working directly with patients in one of our clinics or in a support role, you are an important part of our mission to deliver the highest quality, compassionate care. Our 200+ employees make up the teams at our 16 different East Tennessee locations

As a Nurse Navigator, you will assist patients through education and review of treatment plans so they can fully understand the process and feel supported along the way.

Here's what might happen on a typical day…

Your unique role on the Patient Navigation team gives you the opportunity to educate and assist patients who really need you during a tough time in their lives. Your organization skills allow you to easily walk a patient through the navigation process, and your communication skills help you to stay on the same page with the Patient Advocate regarding the patient's specific needs.

Your compassion and active listening skills often make you one of the go-to team members for our patients and their family members when questions or issues arise. You understand the importance of the guidance you provide to our patients, and you do so by working seamlessly with other areas of the practice.

* The clinical knowledge you possess allows you to seamlessly provide teaching and respond to questions from our patients and their family members as they relate to oncology/hematology treatment plans. Your knowledge also puts you in a position to serve as a liaison throughout the facility and the community regarding this unique patient population.
* You systematically perform the functions of assessing, planning, and evaluating the care of our patients including coordinating end-of-life care as it becomes necessary.
