The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 23-bed inpatient unit serving a diverse patient population with acute medical and surgical needs, including those requiring advanced monitoring and assessment. POSITION SUMMARY As part of a collaborative, dynamic, multidisciplinary team, the PCU RN provides direct patient care, delegating those interventions which may be performed by others, and takes a lead role in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care with a focus on restoring and promoting patient health and well-being, and partners with patients, families, and the care team in the planning and coordination of care. QUALIFICATION EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited RN program. EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS: Previous acute care experience preferred LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S): Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont BLS healthcare provider status ACLS within six-months of hire. # #
