Job Description:

L3Harris’ Broadband Communication Systems sector is currently seeking a Director, Program Management - ISR Networks to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Lead a portfolio of programs and pursuits to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, current and future programs. Responsible for a family of domestic and international customers.

Reporting to the Networking & Data Link Solutions VP and GM. This leader serves as primary customer interface for programs and pursuits, leads program reviews with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance by directing your team. Works with diverse set of USG organizations, and major platform primes to understand customer challenges and shape solutions; and then provides strategic direction to drive those opportunities to closure. Works with major primes and USG to establish Foreign Military Sales (FMS) opportunities across programs with our global business development teams and in support of L3Harris in-country executives.



Essential Functions:

Leads the team to identify and capture new business to grow the portfolio.
Ensures our integrated avionics solutions remain relevant and meet our customer’s needs across their lifecycle, anticipating market or technology shifts to ensure discriminating market advantage.
Manages product link obsolescence and product line roadmaps, identifies and fills technology development gaps across the L3Harris communications and networking product lines, in collaboration with our supply chain partners and customers.
Shapes future requirements and captures new business.
Collaborates seamlessly with counterparts within the USG and internal to L3Harris to align common products and solutions across the Navy.
Strong team builder and collaborative communicator.
Identifies resources needed to achieve desired business and financial outcomes.
Proven experience in leading change, driving accountability, establishing and championing new systems, processes, concepts, or technologies tools that drive profitability and growth, and holds team accountable for delivering results.
Works under consultative direction against annual goals to manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, in varying phases of maturity.
Recommends tactics and strategies that directly impact the achievement of overall business or functional results creating a reliable and growing forecast.
Recognized as an internal expert and thought leader in common integrated mission solutions with broad experience across program management, technical / engineering, business development and strategic planning.
Proactively engages and communicates internal and external organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts.
Directs all phases of programs from conception and inception through completion.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Must possess strong knowledge of USG contracting, budgeting and current acquisition tends across DoD.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test of current and new products or systems.
Expands the product line with the customer based on emerging needs and differentiated solutions.
Directs the work of cross-functional employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas to create a cohesive approach to operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

Demonstrated experience managing complex programs, with successful outcomes.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior relevant experience.
ACTIVE TS Clearance with SCI Clearance preferred.
Past experience collaborating and doing business with the USG, including NAVAIR and AFLCMC, or similar.
Experience working with large Aerospace and Defense primes.
Experience working with USG research labs and FFRDCs.
Demonstrated experience leading large captures and campaigns that drive measurable growth.
International business experience with Foreign Military Sales and / or Direct commercial sales is a plus.
Program and Proposal Planning & Execution
Excellent Team Leadership experience.
Strong Communication and collaboration skills.
