13 week Home Health Registered Nurse travel assignment
 
Hospital in Wilkesboro, NC is looking for a Home Health Registered Nurse to help them out for 13 weeks. This is a Shift: M-F until shift is complete On call info: Back up to weekend nurse. Once every 6th weekend Travel Area: Wilkes, Yadkin, and part of Surry. Majority will be in Wilkes Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours Productivity Units: 30 units Qualifications: Home Health, Oasis, IV, wound vac, wound care shift position.

Essential Work Functions
  • Completes nursing assessment of patients and documents appropriately into patient record.
  • Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
  • Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
  • Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation
  • Medical care provided in the privacy of the patient's home
  • Requires driving to multiple patient's homes daily
  • Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required
  • Performs other duties as assigned  
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • One years’ experience as a RN, at least 6 months recent Home Health experience required
  • Current RN License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Must have valid auto insurance
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
  • Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.  
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate
