Sr Manager, Ride/Show Engineering NBCUniversal Apply to join NBCUniversal’s theme park engineering team in Chicago. Responsibilities Ensure all show and ride equipment maintains the highest level of safety in accordance with Universal specifications and applicable standards. Provide technical guidance and vendor management for design, fabrication, installation, testing, and adjustment activities in the field. Oversee all technical interaction with project team members, vendors, sub‑contractors, and other third parties, and build strong team cohesion and motivation. Create scope of work documentation and award contracts to vendors based on quantitative requirements derived from creative intent. Advisory and coordination role for status and engineering quality of show and ride systems, including risk assessment and mitigation. Understand and actively participate in environmental, health & safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Travel to and stay for extended periods in Chicago is required. Qualifications 7+ years of theme park technical/engineering experience; 5+ years of vendor management with in‑field installation experience. 3+ years of contract management and practices in theme park and/or construction industries. Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field required; advanced degrees preferred. Position is required to be performed full‑time from an NBCUniversal‑designated worksite. Desired characteristics include significant vendor management experience, in‑field installation experience, and contract management experience in theme park and/or construction industries. Salary range: $120,000 – $160,000 (bonus eligible).
