**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Day Shift; 7 AM - 7:30 PM (3x12 Hr)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience

**License:** RN License in good standing

**Certifications:** BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association)

**Must-Have:** Patient care skills, documentation skills, multicultural sensitivity, critical thinking skills

**Job Description:**

- Assume responsibility for a group of patients during a designated time frame and provide care utilizing the nursing process
- Implement procedures and theories related to PACU practice
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care to integrate information for healthcare team use
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs
- Implement the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures
- Modify the plan of care based on continuous evaluation
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and offer constructive feedback for peer development
- Identify own learning needs and take initiative to engage in self-development
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements

Candidates must possess basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing, and demonstrate proficiency in English language communication. Preferred education includes a BSN.
