GEICO is seeking a systems‑minded and customer‑obsessed Senior UX/UI Designer who can translate complex business processes into intuitive digital experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong interaction and visual design skills with the ability to analyze workflows that span multiple users and systems. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to uncover needs, simplify complexity, and deliver connected experiences that drive both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. As a Senior UX/UI designer you will be responsible for designing high‑quality solutions that put the customer at the center and achieving outcomes that move our business forward. You work directly with product management to develop solutions that achieve our customer and business needs. You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary design and research team that values people, human‑centered design and a growth mindset. This position is a hybrid role that requires you to be on‑site 2‑3 days a week at one of the following locations: Chevy Chase, MD; Seattle, WA. Job Responsibilities Collaborates with product, engineering, and business partners to uncover customer and operational needs, then translate those into clear, connected digital experiences Maps and analyzes complex processes that span multiple user types and systems to identify pain points, dependencies, and opportunities for automation or simplification Designs logical, end‑to‑end workflows that move seamlessly between touchpoints such as web, mobile, and internal tools Synthesizes research insights, business rules, and system constraints into intuitive, efficient UX flows and interface logic Partners with product management to prioritize improvements that deliver both user and business impact Participates in working sessions and design critiques that align cross‑functional teams around a shared understanding of the current and future‑state experience Creates and maintains user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that illustrate design intent clearly for stakeholders and developers Applies brand and accessibility standards consistently while ensuring functional clarity and usability Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a Master's) in UX or Product Design with a strong portfolio demonstrating process translation Proven ability to map complex, multi‑user or multi‑system processes and translate them into clear, efficient, user‑centered digital flows Experience designing across multiple touchpoints (e.g., web, mobile, internal tools, and service environments) Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize pain points using data, feedback, and stakeholder input Strength in systems thinking, information architecture, and the logic behind how interactions connect across products Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent tools) for mapping user journeys, prototyping flows, and collaborating with cross‑functional partners Comfortable facilitating workshops, interviews, or audits to understand current‑state processes and define opportunities for improvement Strong visual design and storytelling skills – able to communicate ideas clearly through polished artifacts and presentations Experience working within or extending an established design system to maintain cohesion across digital products Annual Salary $109,675.00 - $172,200.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
