Position Summary

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is looking to add a Sr. Event Sales & Coordinator role to their growing Events team The Sr. Event Sales & Coordinator role reports directly to the Events Supervisor and is responsible for events sales and coordination, specializing in social events (i.e., weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc.). This position will focus on managing the client relationship from sales to coordination to execution.

Responsibilities

Manage online event inquiries in a timely fashion (24-hour response time), troubleshoot reservation conflicts, send email confirmations, track, and process online guest payments under the direction of the Hospitality Manager at the distillery.
Work closely with cross-functional partners including culinary, beverage, front of house management, brand marketing, and distillation/production teams
Build and manage relationships and expectations with clients throughout the sales and coordination process to create an unforgettable experience highlighting the Nelson's Green Brier Distillery brand.
Manage client through coordination process developing menu options, floor plans, event décor, event flow, and other contract add-ons.
Develop strong relationships with local clientele, DMC’s, and event planners to generate regular bookings.
Banquet Event Orders (BEO) process & event coordination
Assist in coordinating all final details with client and internal hospitality partners and enter into Tripleseat software for BEO creation.

Assist with coordinating Nelson’s Green Brier promotional events
Support the mission of creating and executing best-in-class events programming that brings the Nelson’s Green Brier brand and culture to life
Manage consumer event planning including functioning as the lead for the event, when necessary, service, budgeting, supervising, and participating in set up and break down, chef communication, staffing, rentals, beverage, décor, and agendas.
Maintain a professional image while managing all on-site events for the distillery

Minimum Qualifications

Four years of experience in a high-volume special event operation with leadership expertise, with complete understanding of proper service standards and table settings.
Two years' experience in banquet specific event operations
Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, administrative and communication skills, and basic computer skills
Must have a commanding understanding of hospitality principles
Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions best for the team and establishment
Excellent people skills with the ability to manage on call and temporary staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting marketing/brand strategy
Experience in the beverage industry
Successful planning and execution of special/ elevated programming or events.
Proven experience leading diverse teams
WSET Level II or equivalent experience

- Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals

The salary range for this role is:

$24.51 - $35.27

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
