POSITION SUMMARY | Sales Specialist

As a Sales Specialist (what we internally call an "Industry Specialist") at Kingland you will support the sales processes, including marketing and top of funnel activities as well as qualification and proposal activities, drive product ideas based on your industry engagement, and work with teams on the product roadmap.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES | Sales Specialist

  • Develop specific industry and product campaigns to drive the business forward
  • Lead market development activities, including market messaging, website content, and direct contact with prospects
  • Assist in advancing sales opportunities from identified to qualified to proposed, including responding to client requests for information and proposals
  • Research industry trends and what the market will buy, providing valuable insight to Kingland teams Conduct analysis on Kingland competitors and offerings that may compete with Kingland's offerings
  • Develop client / prospect presentations and other collateral designed specifically for client sales meetings, ensuring consistent messaging
  • Participate in client, prospect, and marketing meetings as a Kingland Industry expert
  • Research and determine the appropriate industry events that Kingland should sponsor and attend, and provide support for those events
  • Assist in creating go-to-market plans for products in the industry
  • Work with teams to create rapid prototypes of potential products and solutions as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS | Sales Specialist
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, Master's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in similar role (preferred)
  • Strong communication (written - clear & concise, verbal - confident & correct) and client management skills to communicate complex issues and ensure understanding from the appropriate audience.
  • Critical thinking capability to convert industry needs/concepts into deliverable features that align with available (or planned) Kingland capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and conduct competitive analysis
  • Ability to travel to Kingland office locations, as well as additional travel as required by business and client needs
