Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Architect to join our Capital Markets team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of robust, secure, and high-performing systems that meet the dynamic demands of capital markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Assurance (QA), a deep understanding of capital markets processes, and expertise in modern testing methodologies and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Strategy:

  • Define, implement, and manage the overall quality assurance strategy for capital markets applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Establish and enforce QA best practices, standards, and processes across teams.

Testing Frameworks & Automation:

  • Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for functional, performance, regression, and integration testing.
  • Drive adoption of automation in testing lifecycle and integrate QA tools within CI/CD pipelines.

System Integration and Validation:

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of trading platforms, risk systems, and other capital markets applications.
  • Perform end-to-end system testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance under real-world conditions.

Capital Markets Expertise:

  • Leverage domain knowledge in trading, risk management, portfolio management, and financial instruments to design effective test scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and risk management practices through QA processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between QA, development, business stakeholders, and project managers to understand testing requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and present reports on QA progress, risks, and issues to senior management.

Mentorship & Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality within the team.
  • Lead initiatives for upskilling team members on the latest QA technologies and domain trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience designing QA strategies and frameworks for complex, high-performance financial applications.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Appium).
  • Expertise in performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and integration of QA processes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI, RestAssured).

Domain Expertise:

  • In-depth understanding of capital markets, including trading systems, FIX protocols, derivatives, equities, and bonds.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, or Basel III.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 5 years as a QA lead or architect in the banking/financial sector.
