Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team with various aspects of litigation. This role involves assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with court procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation including pre-litigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and maintained.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with the court.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and witness lists, and assist in trial preparation activities.
  • Manage the docket and ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of disclosures and discovery requests/responses.
  • Support attorneys during arbitration and appellate proceedings as necessary.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a litigation setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or related field.
  • Ability to manage cases from inception through litigation and/or trial.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes.
  • Proficient in case management/legal research software (i.e. NetDocs, SurePoint/LMS+, Relativity, Eclipse, Westlaw, Lexis, etc.)
  • Experience with construction defect cases is a plus.
  • Trial experience strongly preferred.
