Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure production uptime. This role includes boiler and refrigeration checks, equipment overhauls, and updates. You will engage in electrical, welding, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair work, among other assigned duties.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct repairs to ensure continuous production uptime.
  • Perform boiler and refrigeration checks.
  • Overhaul and update equipment as necessary.
  • Engage in electrical, welding, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair work.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a mechanical capacity, including installation, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
  • MN State Specialist Class Boilers license or higher is preferred.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, plumbing, and PLCs.
  • Ammonia refrigeration and preventative maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for 10 hours per day.
  • Capacity to frequently bend, lift, and twist.
  • Display a positive attitude and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to function independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration.
  • Preventative maintenance experience.

Work Environment

Work in a high-noise environment with varied temperatures ranging from warm to cold. The floor may be slippery, and moving equipment and dust may be present. Appropriate PPE and other equipment must be worn as necessary. The position involves working 5 on, 4 off, 3 on, 2 off rotations, totaling 40 hours weekly, with every other week including 30 hours of straight time and 10 hours of overtime. This schedule allows for more time off. The 2nd shift runs from 1 PM to 11:30 PM, with days either M-W and rotating weekends or W-F and rotating weekends. Currently, there are openings for both shifts.
