Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager near Santa Fe, NM provides on-site leadership and direction for all human resources functions within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures effective delivery of employee relations, payroll oversight, compensation support, talent acquisition, benefits and leave administration, compliance, and HR systems management. The HR Manager plays a key role in culture development, continuous improvement, talent growth, and leadership effectiveness across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the consistent application of HR policies, employee programs, and compliance requirements. Oversee HRIS accuracy, employee records, and reporting needs. Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to share insights, support strategic initiatives, and drive process improvements. Ensure strong confidentiality, data governance, and adherence to regulations.
Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing timely support and guidance. Oversee onboarding logistics, facilitate new-hire orientation, and support retention efforts across all levels. Support and coach leaders on performance management, talent development, and employee coaching. Champion a positive and engaging workplace culture focused on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Payroll & HR Systems Manage bi-weekly payroll processing, including audits, corrections, and special compensation programs. Maintain employee lifecycle activities in HR systems (e.g., Dayforce, SuccessFactors, Employee Central). Provide support and training to HR/Manager users to ensure accuracy and compliance. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Lead staffing support for hourly and contingent labor needs.
Coordinate closely with hiring managers and external staffing partners to ensure efficient hiring processes. Monitor labor needs, drive workforce planning activities, and support strategic talent initiatives.
Qualifications
Skills & Knowledge Strong background in employee relations within manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to influence, manage conflict, and support leaders through complex situations. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance (FMLA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.). HRIS proficiency, ideally with Ceridian Dayforce and/or SuccessFactors.
Continuous improvement mindset focused on operational excellence. Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities. Must have direct HR support experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Additional Requirements Ability to work in both office and plant settings with appropriate PPE when required. Ability to remain in a seated role working on a computer for extended periods. Ability to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) up to approximately 10%. #J-18808-Ljbffr
