Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role in the Charlotte, NC area. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proficiency in querying, manipulating, and analyzing data from Microsoft SQL Server. This role is critical in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.


Responsibilities:

  • Query, manipulate, and analyze data from Microsoft SQL Server to support various business functions.
  • Utilize advanced data manipulation techniques, including pivot tables and complex formulas, to generate insights and reports.
  • Employ systematic problem-solving approaches to develop data-driven solutions for business challenges.
  • Clean, normalize, and prepare data for analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations within data sets to inform business strategies.
  • Work with messy, unstructured data and transform it into usable formats for analysis.
  • Understand the business context to derive actionable insights and recommendations from data findings.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by adhering to best practices in data governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Document processes and methodologies for data analysis to ensure reproducibility and transparency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong ability to query and manipulate data using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation techniques, pivot tables, advanced Excel formulas, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning and preparation techniques to ensure high-quality data for analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work with unstructured data and convert it into meaningful insights.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to draw actionable insights from data.
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
