Paralegal



Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a small, boutique plaintiff law firm dedicated to advocating for employees’ rights in complex litigation cases and Personal injury matters. We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal who can handle a busy caseload and bring a strong commitment to our clients and cases.



IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Is an organized, detail-oriented litigation paralegal with experience in employment law and a deep understanding of the litigation process from inception through trial. This role involves substantial client contact, as well as managing case files, drafting documents, and coordinating with attorneys and court personnel. The paralegal will be responsible for supporting the attorneys on all aspects of litigation, ensuring that each case progresses smoothly and effectively.



DUTIES:


  • Organize and manage all phases of case files, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial documents.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to provide updates, obtain information, and answer questions.
  • Assist with discovery requests, document production, and deposition preparation.
  • Prepare and file documents in both state and federal courts, ensuring all filing deadlines are met.
  • Organize trial binders, exhibits, and other essential documents for hearings and trials.
  • Manage attorney calendars, and schedule hearings, depositions, and other meetings.



QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for employment & personal injury law experience.
  • Exceptional organizational, writing, and communication skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and e-filing systems for California state and federal courts.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment.
