Strong multidisciplinary approach to QI, strong family advisory counsel, and very active unit-based practice council plus unit-based committees. Team Daisy and Infection Control award recipient.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
* Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

NRP certification or completion of its requirements within 90 days of hire to the unit
* V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements preferred

Per Diem
* 5 hour shifts per month (both shifts on weekend)
* 5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day)
* 5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year s)
* Weekends are defined as Friday 7 p.m. to Monday 7a.m.

Organize and administer individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives along with the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation and activities.
