Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Employee Health (RN)

Job Specialty: Ambulatory Care Nursing - Employee Health

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day - 5x8 - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Experience: Minimum of 2 Years RN Experience; 2 Years Medicine Experience

License: NYS RN License

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have: EPIC Experience is Highly Preferred

Job Description:

- Deliver comprehensive patient care using Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking in patient management.
- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning post-care hospital transitions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention, anticipating needs and readiness to learn.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
- Manage assignments within a Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model, demonstrating effective allocation of resources.
- Model the tenets of Relationship Centered Care, facilitating actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, respecting cultural diversity and patient preferences.
- Implement process improvement strategies and engage in formal and informal peer and institutional review processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinating with leadership to ensure adequate supply and staffing resources.
- Contribute to professional development, advancing clinical competence and participating in shared decision-making through councils and committees.

Note: Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred; an associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN Program. Fluency in English is required.

Skills: Excellent organizational skills are essential.
