Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program.
  • 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential from:
  • ARDMS: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE); li>
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.

Cardiovascular Sonographer:

  • Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Prepares equipment and supplies. li>
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
