Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide III (Housekeeping Lead) at Newton Medical Center to work 3:00PM-11:00PM, including every other weekend.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
+ Provide supervision and training for housekeeping associates on a daily basis.
+ Complete housekeeping work schedules.
+ Assist with finding coverage for staff call-outs.
+ Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
+ Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisor.
+ Attends required in-services and staff meetings.
+ In absence of the housekeeping supervisor, lead co-workers in the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department.
+ Trains new associates and assists in department orientation process.
+ Communicates associate performance, conduct, issues, etc. to the Director of Building Services Customer Satisfaction.
+ Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying member needs and exceeding expectations.
+ Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas, including the floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, furniture etc.
+ Cleans up major spills when necessary and responds to pages in a timely manner.
+ Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
+ Removes all trash and linen within the hospital.
+ Follows directions carefully for cleaning solution preparations and handling of bio-hazard materials.
+ Makes periodic checks for environmental needs in the assigned area.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
+ HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
+ Must be able bend/push/pull/lift 50LBS. minimum and stand for long periods of time.
+ Great communication/customer service/people skills a must.
Relevant Experience:
+ 1 to 3 years previous EVS leadership experience preferred.
+ 5+ years of previous housekeeping experience in a hospital/healthcare environment preferred.
+ Previous floor-care experience preferred.
