Job Title: Provider Enrollment Representative
Job Summary
The Provider Enrollment Representative is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Medicare Part A and/or B provider files. This role involves reviewing provider applications, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, and following internal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Process provider applications, including obtaining additional information, verifying details, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and validate supporting documents to make final enrollment recommendations.
- Create and update enrollment records in the system, set up electronic funds transfer (EFT) for provider payments, and address provider enrollment inquiries.
- Participate in enrollment meetings, training sessions, and other supportive activities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in customer service or a role involving computer use and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in provider enrollment.
- Experience working in a production-focused environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, research, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Primarily a seated, office-based role with continuous computer work and occasional bending and filing.
- Minimal physical lifting (up to 10 lbs).
- Required to focus on detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to switch tasks and handle interruptions.
Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to manage stress, switch between tasks, follow multi-step instructions, and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to meet productivity and quality standards, with flexibility for cross-training as needed.
