Nutis Visual Communications group is seeking an on-site Point of Purchase Display Designer. This full-time position provides innovative, cost effective and structurally sound displays and merchandising solutions for customers. The preferred candidate will have 3 plus years retail point of purchase display design experience.
Position Functions:
Develop product retail display concepts as requested in a cost-efficient and timely manner
Create innovative design solutions and produce samples to meet customer requirements
Conduct research into technology, innovations, new products, and materials that are beneficial to Nutis and its customers that enhance graphics and design programs
Work with Production Manager, Sales and Operations Manager and customers in conceptualization of design solutions
Create and produces prototypes using various materials (corrugated, foam core, tapes, etc.), and building techniques.
Turn sketched drafts into 2D/3D display models and prototypes with the use of Zund machine and various knife tools
Follow best practices for structure creation, as well as software use and layout design following Nutis standards and customer brand guidelines
Create assembly instructions for end user
Effectively manage multiple projects and provides ongoing status reports
Work assigned schedule and works on special projects as needed
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Technical school or work equivalent required.
3 or more years of proven (portfolio, photos of work) experience in Graphic Structural Design with corrugated packaging and displays. Experience should include a variety of work from simple cardboard retail shelving displays to more complex
3 or more years of project management experience preferred
Skills/Abilities:
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Design Software, Zund, ArtiosCAD etc.
Ability to meet client deadlines
