Position Summary
Perform clinical support services, assist with secretarial/clerical duties and maintain patient care documentation in medical records.
Responsibilities
1. Maintains all patient care related documentation in patients' medical records in a timely manner.
Verifies consistency and accuracy of clinical information entered into patient charts.
Prepares charts, maintains and updates forms and prepares documentation paperwork.
Maintains and monitors medical record documentation and filing. Correctly files all patient documentation verifying accuracy and completion of content.
2. Responsible for various secretarial, clerical and receptionist activities.
Answer phones, greet patients, screen calls. Schedule patient appointments.
Assist with charge entry on a timely basis.
Purchase and distribute office and medical supplies.
3. Perform clinical support services within protocol and upon completion of proper training and competency evaluation.
Assist medical providers with patient care services as requested.
Perform health screenings (vision, blood pressure, weight and vitals), collect blood collection and/or phlebotomy blood collection for lab tests.
Collect health risk appraisals and/or patient histories.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements
HS graduate or equivalent (or higher) required.
American Heart Association BLS Required
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred
One to two years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training preferred.
Substitution: Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA.

Part time position
Day shift - Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
