General Statement The PCI Foundation seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and hands‑on Executive Director to lead the organization in its next stage of growth. Reporting to the Board of Trustees and working closely with the Foundation’s Executive Committee, this individual serves as the chief staff officer and the “face” of the Foundation—responsible for advancing its mission, expanding resources, and strengthening its impact across academia and the construction industry. Executive Director has dotted reporting relationship to PCI’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This is a self‑sufficient role for a strong generalist equally comfortable fundraising, program development, marketing/communications, donor engagement, and administration. Essential Job Functions Essential job functions are fundamental, core functions common to positions in a classification. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties. Strategic Leadership & Governance Implement and regularly update the Foundation’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board. Set and track organizational goals, priorities, and impact metrics. Maintain strong alignment with PCI’s educational initiatives. Serve as liaison to PCI committees, Regional Directors, and chapters; represent the Foundation at PCI National Convention, Committee Days, Professors Conference, and other industry events. Provide clear, consistent reporting and updates to the Board of Trustees. Recruit, onboard, and develop new board members and volunteers. Fundraising & Donor Engagement Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners through meaningful engagement and recognition. Expand, diversify, and manage the donor data to ensure long‑term financial sustainability. Achieve fundraising targets set annually with the Board (e.g., revenue growth or annual fundraising goals). Marketing & Communications Oversee all Foundation communications, including newsletters, impact reports, websites, and social media. Use storytelling, student/alumni/company success features, and outreach campaigns to highlight impact. Serve as the Foundation’s spokesperson at academic, industry, and professional events. Program Development & Oversight Oversee the grantmaking process: proposal review, funding decisions, accountability, and impact reporting. Support and expand university studio programs, foster relationships with professors, students, and industry champions. Collaborate on the Professors Conference, scholarships, and new educational initiatives. Ensure programs are evaluated for measurable outcomes and continuous improvement. Operations & Administration Manage day‑to‑day operations, leveraging PCI’s shared services (accounting, compliance, IT) where appropriate. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and compliance with nonprofit regulations. Maintain organizational records, bylaws, and policies, plan and coordinate board meetings. Supervise and manage contractors, part‑time staff, or interns as needed. Ensure compliance with IRS and state nonprofit requirements. Requirements Minimum 7–10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, and fundraising. Proven success cultivating donor relationships at both corporate and individual levels. Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders. Experience managing programs, volunteers, and boards. Self‑motivated, resourceful, and entrepreneurial—equally effective in strategy and execution. Knowledge of construction, engineering, or architecture industries is a plus, but not required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel frequently to universities, industry events and donor meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
