OverviewTransmission Engineer – Transmission & DistributionLocations : Atlanta, GA | Charlotte, NCTravel : Yes, up to 10%We are seeking a Staff Overhead Transmission Line Engineer to support a growing Transmission & Distribution practice. This role involves leading and performing engineering responsibilities related to high-voltage overhead transmission line design.Key Responsibilities :Perform and oversee engineering tasks including PLS-CADD modelingLine routing and structure analysisSag-tension calculations, wire blowout, swing angle, and damper recommendationsStructure spotting and clearance reportsWire selection and loading tree developmentPrepare construction specifications, hardware / material lists, and cost estimatesDesign structures and hardware for high-voltage overhead transmission linesProvide field installation supervision and technical supportMentor and guide junior engineersServe as a technical lead and interface with clientsConduct quality reviews and ensure compliance with design standardsOther duties as assignedQualifications :Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (required)EIT certification or PE license (strongly preferred)Minimum 3 years of experience in high-voltage overhead transmission line designA master’s degree may substitute for one year of experienceProficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related tools (preferred)Experience with 69kV to 500kV line designStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite #J-18808-Ljbffr
