Ensures proper setup of food for tray line and/or dining rooms. · Delivers and retrieves food carts to and from clientsarea. · Sets up trays for meals/works tray line position. · Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher. · Assists in the serving of food. · Prepares snacks and beverages from between-meal service to patients. · Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas. · Washes pots, pans and other equipment as necessary. · Maintains cleanliness and sanitation through entire work areas. · Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures; Scrubs and mops floors, cleans and sanitizes equipment. · Performs other tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director · Participates in all in-services and activities as required. Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure. Participates in all in-service activities. Qualifications: Previous experience in a nursing care facility or other previous service experience preferred. ServSafe Food Handler Certificate prefered (not required) Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to long-term care dietary requirements. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. Ability to follow written and oral directions. Ability to work independently. Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, and visitors.
