You will be responsible for architecting scalable data pipelines, modeling data for analytics, and enabling robust BI and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong experience with dbt, Fivetran, Python, Looker, and can clearly communicate complex data flows through architecture diagrams.ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures and clear dbt data models to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability.Develop and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging Fivetran, dbt, and Python-based transformations, optimized for performance, cost, and reliability.Implement semantic layers and LookML models in Looker, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver self-service dashboards and visualizations, with exposure to AI use cases.Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and governance policies for data flows, integrations, and system design.Define, apply, and monitor data governance standards, security controls, and quality frameworks across all pipelines and models.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsProven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar senior data engineering role with hands-on expertise is preferred with: dbt (data modeling, macros, testing, documentation), Fivetran (data ingestion, connectors, transformations), Python (data transformation, automation, API integration), Looker (LookML modeling, dashboard development), GCP experience is a plus; VertexAI or related experience is a plus.Strong SQL skills with experience optimizing queries for performance. Experience creating data architecture diagrams using tools like Lucidchart, Draw.io, or similar.Solid understanding of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with CI/CD for analytics (e.g., dbt Cloud, GitHub Actions).Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.Experience integrating with APIs for data ingestion.Familiarity with the full life-cycle of database operations.Experience with Salesforce and Workday data sets is a plus.Qualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000 - $230,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
