Solution Architect – Previso Software Location: Houston, TX or Dallas, TX or Calgary, Alberta, CanadaModel of Work: HybridRole Focus: Sales, not software development or architecture Overview The Solution Architect supports sales by securing the technical close. From collaborating with sales, services, development, and other technical resources, you will ensure proposed deals include the right technical solutions that address customer needs and align key decision‑makers with Quorum software solutions and workflows. Responsibilities Technical Sales Support Participate in client meetings, providing technical expertise as needed Contribute to account and strategic opportunity plan preparation and reviews Identify opportunities in new prospects and current customers Define the value proposition for each client Work with account managers to map out strategies to increase our footprint at a client Maintain client interactions and stay connected with technical leaders in prospects and customers Create product solution presentations that reinforce the value proposition Develop responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) as required by the RFP lead Participate in trade‑shows, user conferences, training, and sales seminars as required Understand and Architect Client Workflows Analyze client usage and workflow characteristics for specified accounts Become a trusted advisor on internal processes and best practices for planning, execution, and reserves Provide Software Demonstrations Deliver high‑quality software demonstrations to clients as needed by account managers Identify key benefits for target audiences and prepare tailored demos in advance Participate actively in company‑wide solution architecture processes and knowledge learning Best Practice Design Develop corporate standards for optimal workflows based on our software suite Document internal and client standards and best‑practice workflows Perform discovery work to design optimal positioning of Quorum products within existing or prospective clients Collaborate with Product Management to align client expectations with development timelines Maintain industry, market, and product knowledge and stay abreast of competitor products, technology, and offerings Share key demonstrations and knowledge learned with the Solution Architect group And other duties as assigned. Requirements Post‑secondary education in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline with 7‑10 years of oil & gas industry experience Experience with integrated production modelling (IPM) workflow and tools Familiarity with software such as Petroleum Experts IPM suite, PipeSim, Olga, Hysys, and CoFlow Strong technical aptitude and understanding of how software is developed and works Excellent remote and in‑person communication and presentation skills General knowledge of on‑premise and hosted/cloud environments, databases, and APIs Proficient using Generative AI models Additional Details Background Check: The successful candidate will need to complete a Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification, and passport/ID validation.
