We combine tradition with innovation, passion with purpose, and ambition with heart.What You Will Do:E&I has an exciting opportunity for a VICE PRESIDENT, MEMBER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT.This VICE PRESIDENT, MEMBER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing consultative enterprise sales team to achieve ambitious sales and growth targets while fostering long-term, high-satisfaction member relationships. The ideal candidate will drive results through effective strategic account planning, pipeline management, team enablement, and cross-functional collaboration. A key focus of this role is the professional growth of the team, empowering individuals to excel and positioning the organization as a trusted partner in delivering value to our members.How You Will Do It:Strategic Account Planning:Increase volume of purchasing activity and the number of contracts utilized year-over-year with existing accounts.Oversee the development and execution of account strategies within each Sourcing Consultant territory to maximize long-term value and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Drive results on both market penetration of existing products, and successfully launching and gaining market traction with new products.Pipeline Management and Optimization:Establish/communicate annual goals and objectives, conduct quarterly performance reviews and measure results with team.Set clear, measurable objectives for the team and ensure accountability for achieving revenue targets.Ensure robust pipeline health through rigorous monitoring, analysis, and management of sales opportunities at every stage.Implement best practices for pipeline review processes, ensuring accurate forecasting, risk identification, and timely intervention to close gaps.Equip the team with tools and frameworks to optimize pipeline velocity and focus on high-impact opportunities.Team Enablement & Development:Foster a high-performance and deliberately developmental culture that embraces continuous learning, collaboration, and personal and professional growth.Inspire, lead, and mentor a high-performing consultative sales team to consistently exceed performance goals.Develop and implement tailored growth and development plans for team members to enhance their skills, capabilities, and career progression.Ensure each team member clearly understands their role in executing the strategy and how it relates to the company’s goals and other roles within the organization.Train and lead team on consultative engagement with member decision-makers utilizing spend analytics, cost savings metrics, supplier consolidation, contract compliance and supply chain efficiencies as primary value-added success drivers.Cross-Functional Alignment and Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sourcing and other MET functions, to ensure pipeline alignment and resource prioritization.Collaborate closely with key business partners, business partner filed sales management and selling teams to maximize contract utilization results.Promote and represent E&I at association conferences, on-campus supplier fairs, other meetings as assigned.Education and/or Experience:Minimum 4-year College degree preferably with a business major or work experience required.Minimum 10 years sales management experience focusing in higher education.Proven track record of success in strategic account sales leadership, including developing and managing high performing teams.Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop talent.Deep understanding of strategic sales methodologies, pipeline management, and account planning processes.Proficient in the interpretation and utilization of data and business analysis tools to evaluate present and future performance to identify areas of opportunity.Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills a must.Regional travel approximately 35%.E&I offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & AD&D Insurance, LTD, STD, FSA, 401(k) plus an employer contribution amount of 7.5%.
