* _Prepare quality menu items daily:_ Along with the Food Service Director, construct/create seasonal menus and develop recipes in accordance with set margins. Increase food sales by increasing customer foot traffic, evening and weekend business.
* _Assist in ensuring excellent customer service:_ Set and maintain the highest level of customer service. You will mentor and train all kitchen team members. Daily on the job training will be critical.
* _Understand all information in the daily reporting of operations:_ The Kitchen Manager is responsible for maintaining strict inventory levels and participating in weekly/monthly inventory. You will need to place bulk kitchen orders accurately, on time, and within set budgets as well as track daily food shrink/loss.

We're looking for someone who is:

* _Experienced._ We need a Kitchen Manager in Training who has handled similar work. You might be a fit if you've held titles such as: Kitchen Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, Line Cook, Chef, Food Service Worker, Restaurant Manager, etc.
* _Knowledgeable._ You should have experience in the food industry. A bonus would be experience in creating menus, training staff, and tracking shrink/loss. A high school diploma or GED is required, being ServSafe certified is a bonus. This leadership position requires you to oversee all other kitchen staff.
* _Highly organized._ This position requires exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills. You should be able to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* _Detail-oriented_. Excellent organizational skills, careful planning, and attention to detail are crucial. It is up to you to implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the kitchen is clean, efficiently run, and following all procedures and regulations.
* _A great communicator._ As the Kitchen Manager in Training, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal team member skills. You will need to supervise, motivate, encourage, challenge and discipline kitchen employees.
* _Tech-savvy._ You will need to be adept with computers and able to complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by Management.
* _Passionate._ You should have a passion for brand and cultivating community. A passion for food, and an exceptional cup of coffee, alongside the desire to inspire people to visit and return to our convenience store is a must.

Why join Rusty Lantern Markets:

* _Make a difference._ Our company is growing, and we have big plans to change customers' perception of what to expect from a convenience store. This is a great opportunity to get in early at a company that, we believe, is on its way to becoming an industry leader.
* _Grow with the company_. Rusty Lantern Market is rapidly expanding and there will be a need for individuals in more high-level positions. We are advocates of promoting from within the organization rather than seeking this level of expertise outside the organization.
* _Work that stays fresh_. There will always be ample opportunities to learn new things. Plus, given the pace of change at our growing company, we can pretty much guarantee that you will never be bored.
* _Friendly and Supportive Work Environment_. We may be biased, but our team is the best Everyone on the team is friendly, supportive, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
