In this role you will diagnose and treat patients through medical imaging, interpret X‑rays, MRIs, CT scans, and perform image‑guided procedures. You will collaborate with physicians, residents, and fellows to develop patient care plans and oversee the department. Responsibilities Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging studies to provide accurate diagnoses. Consult with referring physicians to discuss diagnostic results and collaborate on patient care. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality. Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques. Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities to enhance imaging accuracy and patient outcomes. Provide guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other staff. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and results. Perform pertinent image‑guided procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages when necessary. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Radiology. Valid state medical license to practice in Maryland (and DEA registration if performing procedures). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic interpretations. Commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Schedule & Position Details Level I trauma center – primary CT imaging with routine US and X‑ray volume. Shift options: 7 a‑4 p and 4 p‑11 p; 8 a‑5 p; 12 p‑8 a with 1 week on/3 weeks off; 3.5 clinical days per week and 1.5 admin days per week. No call or weekend shifts required. In‑person department oversight and meeting attendance. EMR: Epic. Board certification mandatory. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with bonus or RVU incentive structure.
