Responsibilities

Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients to measure and record their heart activity
Attach electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs, ensuring proper placement
Operate and calibrate EKG equipment, ensuring accurate measurements and recordings
Monitor patients during the procedure to address any concerns or complications
Maintain accurate records of all EKG tests performed, including patient information
Checks height, weight, and vitals
Assists Physician with Prescription samples.
Restocks exam rooms, sample closets, and physician workstations.
Identifies staffing issues and reports directly to manager and/or supervisor.
Reports equipment issues to the manager and/or supervisor
Reviews and stays up to date on position reference material which outlines all responsibilities.
Assist with other office support duties as directed by the manager and/or supervisor. Check-in patients: (collect copays, referrals, scan insurance cards, DL, scripts, schedule, reschedule, phone calls, etc)
Check out patients: (schedule appointments, give patient instructions, medication print out, instruction print out, scripts for outside testing, etc)



Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified EKG Technician (CET) designation preferred
Proven experience conducting EKG tests in a clinical setting
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret EKG test results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Computer skills: EHR, Word, Excel, Outlook
