Academic Interventional Cardiologist with UofL Health

ABOUT THE POSITION
The University of Louisville School of Medicine's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine with UofL Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible interventional cardiologist to join its team of academic cardiologists. We desire clinicians who excel in both patient care and teaching of house staff and fellows with a strong interest in clinical or translational research. A competitive salary plus the potential for a productivity bonus is offered in addition to a robust recruitment package.
UofL Cardiology has a robust academic department consisting of specialists in all subdivisions of Cardiology including electrophysiology and complex ablations, interventional and structural cardiology, heart failure & transplant/mechanical device support, ECMO, complex cardiac and aortic/vascular surgery, cardio-oncology, preventive cardiology, and advanced imaging. Research initiatives will be encouraged and candidates will be expected to establish an academic portfolio and an area of expertise. Fellow and resident education is an integral component of the job. There are opportunities for academic advancement and leadership in committees depending on the level of interest and performance.
The division is expecting strong growth and recruitment over the next two years and as such is poised to become a regional leader in cardiac service line delivery and patient volumes. There is strong financial backing and commitment from the university to achieve its educational, research, and clinical care missions.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A medical degree from an accredited school of medicine; board certification in cardiology and eligibility for licensure in Kentucky are required.
