Position Purpose: Drive performance through the development of short and long-term department goals and standards for safety, ensuring that industry standards are met or exceeded, continuous improvement, quality, cost reduction, efficient utilization of resources and staff, and production efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience

Experience in manufacturing machinery specifically tailored for the packaging industry.
5+ years of people management preferred.
5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of automation, packaging machinery, or machine building.
Strong understanding of Procurement/Supply Chain.
Experience managing and running safety programs.
Proven ability to modify, create, and establish processes and structure to drive continuous.
Knowledge of current OSHA regulations and all federal, state, and local workplace safety laws
Ability to develop and conduct training.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
