Junior System Administrator


Location: Houston 77002


Our client is seeking a motivated IT Analyst to support IT infrastructure and provide technical assistance to team members. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of both Mac and Windows environments and be eager to learn and grow in a challenging role. Experience with Microsoft 365 is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to end-users on both Windows and MacOS platforms, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, network devices, and peripherals.
  • Enroll and manage endpoints through MDM; manage inventory of deployed devices
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IT security protocols and practices.
  • Monitor workflows, system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Document IT procedures, processes, and configurations.
  • Assist in IT projects and initiatives as needed.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, user management, user provisioning, and automation.
  • Experience with IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Basic networking skills, familiarity with concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) in a hybrid environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles.
