Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical

Job Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift, 7 AM - 7:30 PM, Every Other Weekend Required

Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Hours per Week

Experience: Minimum 2 Years RN Experience, 2 Years Med/Surg Experience, Travel Experience Preferred

License: NYS RN License

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have: Excellent Organizational Skills, EPIC Experience Highly Preferred

Job Description:

- Provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research.
- Deliver patient care using the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in care planning.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching and planning post-hospital care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Manage assignments using the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
- Role model the principles of Relationship-Centered Care.
- Consider patient values, preferences, and cultural diversity in care.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Engage in process improvement and quality initiatives.
- Utilize information technology for documentation and performance improvement.
- Perform charge nurse duties and coordinate with management for resource needs.
- Advance clinical competence and professional development.
- Participate in shared decision-making and unit initiatives.
