About

The Inn at Castle Hill is a boutique, 10 room bed & breakfast situated in the heart of the spectacular Crane Estate, a 2,100-acre property known for its iconic 59 room historic mansion ("The Great House") and 4 miles of idyllic white sand beach ("Crane Beach"). The Inn gives guests the chance to reconnect with what's really important in life. All ten rooms at the Inn are uniquely appointed, and many feature stunning views over the salt marshes and Atlantic Ocean.

Summary of Position

The Housekeeper plays an essential role on our Inn team. She/he is primarily responsible for the upkeep of a 10-room inn operating between April and February, and its cleanliness, laundry duties of bed linens and towels, and monitoring of guestroom and housekeeping supplies.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and be able to commit to 10 to 30 hours per week including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions

• Clean bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms including washing and applying linens
• Vacuuming individual guest rooms and public areas of the inn
• Laundering bed linens and towels
• Inventorying cleaning and guest supplies
• Maintaining cleanliness of the inn's dining and other service areas
• Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

• Attention to cleanliness
• Positive customer interaction skills
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but not necessary

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays are required; access to a car is necessary.

Working Conditions

Ability to lift 40 pounds required. Must be able to climb stairs (no elevator in the building)

This is a seasonal, non-exempt, hourly paid position, with an optimal start date in April 2024. This position is based in Ipswich, MA at The Inn at Castle Hill.
