This registered nurse works collaboratively with IHA Hematology Oncology Associates in 10-chair infusion center at St. Primary responsibilities include outpatient care follow-up and administration of chemotherapy, in addition to a variety of other types of Infusion services.
Performs nursing assessments of the patient's physical, psychosocial and cognitive status considering age and development level.
+ Formulates and documents individualized plans of care developed with the patient, family and health care team members.
+ Implements patient care in a manner consistent with the age of the patient, the plan of care and the changing needs of the patient.
+ Documents patient care according to Hospital and Department standards.
+ Evaluates patient care needs, determines priorities and directs nursing care as required for the delivery of quality patient care.
+ Supervises the care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
+ Able to problem solve and manage crisis, able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing patient care environment.
+ Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
+ Shift Available** : Days (8am-4:30pm)
**Status Available** : Contingent (minimum requirement of three shifts per month)
_Requires current Michigan Nursing License
+ Graduation from accredited nursing program
+ **Experience administering chemotherapy and experience using EPIC preferred**
+ New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
