Position Overview:Performs operational tests on complex wire harnesses, cable assemblies, production components and subassemblies and final assemblies having knowledge of theory, instrumentation, measurement techniques and electronic circuit assemblies.Key Job Duties:Understand the usage and operation of test equipment (Government provided and DWT owned)Operation of test cycles, plans, and procedures to meet customer and drawing requirementsCollect, record, and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Summarize findings and report results to relevant stakeholdersDiagnose and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement solutions and prevent recurrenceIndependently perform test set-up and operation of Hipot and all other ATE'sMaintain and organize equipment to ensure efficient reliable operation and testingMaintains and communicates an up-to-date schedule of testing and down timeIdentify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality. Provide training, share expertise, best practices, and lessons learned to junior technicians and new team membersMaintains a well-organized clean work area and meet OSHA requirementsAbility to present self professionally and successfully work with vendorsMaintain strict confidentialityDocumentation control responsibilities, including maintaining work order traveler documentation and product test acceptance records.Promote teamwork mentality, help maintain a clean, friendly, respectful and safe work space. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge electronics test methods, techniques and documentation. Strong technical skills in electrical, mechanical, or other relevant disciplines.Strong communication skills (written and verbal).Strong computer skills including: word processing, MS Office Suite (especially Excel) Experience in reviewing documentation and testing verification requirementsExperience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standardsPrevious work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plusExperience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as schematics.Must be able to use electronic test equipment including Digital Volt Meter, Power supplies, etc.Strong troubleshooting skills down to component level.Relevant certifications such as IPC certifications for electronics testing may be advantageous.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Familiarity with computer systems and software applications used for data analysis and documentation.Proven experience as a test technician or similar role, with progressively increasing responsibilitiesRequirements:High School Diploma 5 years or more of testing experience in vibration, thermal and isolation resistance.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) retirement savings plan.
