Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Systems Architect to join their team on a contract to hire opportunity. The is Infrastructure Systems Architect responsible for Azure, AWS, Active Directory and related solutions in the organization. This role designs, manages, deploys and supports the systems and identity technology ecosystem for the organization. The Infrastructure Systems Architect works with Infrastructure Operations, IT Support Operations and the Security Operations teams to define and deliver secure and supportable computing and organizational needs.


Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL)


Responsibilities:

• Manage Azure, AWS, Active Directory and related solutions

• Design, deploy, and support systems and identity tech ecosystem

• Collaborate with Infrastructure Operations, IT Support Operations and Security Operations teams for secure and supportable computing

• Set technical direction for Infrastructure Operations including standards, project execution, and roadmaps

• Oversee Active Directory and Okta identity solutions

• Lead SSO/connectivity solutions across AWS, Azure, and On-Prem

• Monitor and optimize system performance for seamless user experience

• Handle infrastructure incidents and act as Tier 3 user tech support

• Educate Infrastructure and Support Operations on technology selection and standards


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or a related field

• 8+ years’ experience with Active Directory and supporting windows and Mac devices in a medium-sized enterprise

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft solutions and products

• Experience in architectural design and maintenance with Active Directory and AWS

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach

• Proven team player, able to meet project deadlines

• Experienced in a fast-paced environment


Additional Skills:

• Familiar with Systems Architecture and Cloud Automation

• Experience with Active Directory, on-prem, AD connect, Azure, Okta & 2 factor DUO, VMWare Esx, V-center

• Proficient with AWS & Azure

• Windows & Linux environment experience required

• Familiarity with on-prem exchange and patching policies and guidelines.
