TITLE: Sales Manager
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Sales - Southern Region
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Some overtime and weekends may be required.
WAGES: Commensurate with skills and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the activities and performance of the sales team
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to establish and execute sales goals for the sales team
  • Oversee the presentation and sales of company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity within the Sales Team
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
  • Assist the Sales Team in the preparation of presentations and proposals for submittal to Senior Management for review and approval prior to sending to clients
  • Develop product and industry knowledge
  • Cultivate sales strategies for acquiring new clients and building the sales pipeline within the team
  • Oversee current client and potential client relationships
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
  • Identify, resolve and provide solutions to client concerns
  • Motivate the Sales Team to engage in the improvement of their performance on a regular basis
  • Review and prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals in collaboration with the Senior Management Team
  • Conduct performance evaluations on a monthly basis
  • Communicate service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate sales staff
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
  • Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees
  • Participate in continual professional and educational training
  • Other related duties as assigned by manager

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience effectively managing a high performing sales team
  • Experience in utilizing Salesforce to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing
  • Motivated self-starter with a drive to succeed
  • Proficient problem solving skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills, and be able to create, compose and edit written materials
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment
  • Professional appearance and a positive company image to the public
  • Ability to manage significant local travel to current and potential clients
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and the ability to travel overnight
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record

  • Coach and guide team members while assessing strengths and opportunities.
  • Ensure there is two-way communication with all team members.
  • Provide a positive and effective work environment.

PREFERRED

  • Relevant industry experience and knowledge of the company's market
  • SAP experience
  • CRM experience
