Senior SQL Server DBA - Need locals to GAContractOur client in Midtown Atlanta is looking for a Sr DBA Admin Advisor to focus on the proficient delivery of Database Administration services while working with the Database Administration team's use of tools, techniques and processes. Primary duties are around our SQL Server database infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Development, QA testers, Architects, Operations, Business Analysts and staff to implement Database Administration changes and service requests.Collaborate with data modelers and coordinate with customers to implement the physical model.Participate within the DBA team to troubleshoot issues on SQL Server installations, including errors or slow-running queries.Recommend and implement a detailed security design based on minimum necessary privileges required.Build and support all required database environments including development, test and production.Provide guidance to Development in best architectural practices to maximize database performance.Plan, coordinate and implement database changes and data migration.Conduct capacity planning on a regular basis to ensure database infrastructure is available and proactively plan for future work.Work with appliance vendor to troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades and follow up on support tickets.Actively monitor user queries and maintenance on SQL Server installs, automating monitoring where possible.Conduct admin tasks including task estimation, creating status reports and leading team meetings.Participate in after-hours on-call duties; regular shift and on-call (nights and weekend) on a rotational basis.Note: After hours and weekends on rotation required.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
