We are looking for an organized, self-driven, and compassionate Office Manager who thrives in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks at once, and have excellent interpersonal skillsThis position is based in Chicago (Forest Park). This is an In Person ( 5 days a week) , Temporary opportunity with the potential of extension.

POSITION TITLE: Office Manager
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm CST
DURATION: Temporary (3 months)
HOURLY RATE: -$32.00/hr
Is This Your Dream Job? As the Office Manager, You should have a strong background in office administration and accounting, along with experience in supervising and managing a team. In addition, you should have a demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting a positive, inclusive work culture.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration preferred.
- Minimum of three years previous experience working in an office environment with at least one-year supervisory experience.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge and experience using accounting software.
- Demonstrated ability to work within an office environment.
- Good business writing skills.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Experience working with people with disabilities (prefer direct personal experience).
- Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred).
- Report to the Executive Director.
- Recruit, hire and directly supervise all clerical staff.
- Maintain all Revenue, Expense and Payroll records and generate reports when requested by the Executive Director. Ensure that bills are paid in a timely manner.
- Enroll staff in employee benefits for which they are eligible (unless they decline), maintain all employee benefit insurance policies and benefit information, dis-enroll staff as appropriate, administer COBRA benefits, and disseminate information to staff when necessary.
- Maintain all office equipment and supplies. Oversee maintenance of equipment inventory.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage, including general liability, officers and directors liability, workers compensation, employee theft coverage and other coverage as directed by the Executive Director.
- Represent the Center at official functions when requested.
- Maintain day to day bookkeeping including all ledgers using accounting software, reports, vouchers and invoices, modifications, check registry, bank reconciliations etc. in accordance with established state and federal regulations.
- Prepare all Center reimbursement requests to granting agencies on a timely basis.
