A Sales Representative in the folding carton industry is responsible for generating sales, building relationships with customers, and promoting the company’s products and services. This role requires a combination of sales skills, product knowledge, and industry expertise. Below is an overview of the typical responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Responsibilities:

Customer Acquisition:

Identify and target potential customers through research, networking, and cold calling.

Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.

Sales Presentations:

Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of folding carton products.

Tailor sales pitches to meet the specific needs and challenges of each customer.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address any concerns.

Order Management:

Prepare and process sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Negotiation:

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure profitable sales.

Handle any customer objections or issues that arise during the sales process.

Market Analysis:

Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Provide feedback and insights to the management team to help shape sales strategies and product offerings.

Sales Targets:

Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company.

Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to management.

Customer Service:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

Provide post-sales support and follow-up to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retention.

Trade Shows and Events:

Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Promote products and services to a wider audience and generate new leads.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in sales, particularly in the packaging or manufacturing industry, is highly desirable.

Experience in the folding carton industry is a strong asset.

Skills:

Sales Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues.

Product Knowledge: Understanding of folding carton products, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
